And the Winner Is . . .

Fifteen years from now when the Little Princess completes her first triathlon we will look back and say it all started today.

First, she ran the Mini-Mos 2k this morning with her daddy. The crowds were huge!

While walking home after the race we passed the local bike shop. The Little Princess fell in love with the light blue Mongoose bike so we brought it home. Half an hour later she was riding a two wheel bike for the first time!

As the principal of her school told us when we took the tour, Aussies love sport. I think it's rubbing off on her.

If only it would rub off on me a little.

I had a lot of fun with the Little Princess doing with Mini-Mos. Can't wait for next year.

She ran 2K! Wow, that's awesome. Did you guys teach her to ride the bike or did she just do it? We need to--
Maybe we should all meet up at the bike park in Cremorne-- Brightmore Reserve soon?

Got the results this morning- She placed 38 out of 139 kids in her division (female U8). 11:39 seconds. I think she could make the top ten next year. ;)

FGIS- The other day she discovered that rolling down the hill on her brother's balance bike was fun and easy. I think that gave her the confidence to ride a 2 wheeler. We should definitely get together at that park soon!

Those pictures are great! I love the shot of them in the crowd! Is your husband Facebooking in the 2nd photo?

My daughter loved seeing Lil Princess ride the bike - they got bikes on the same day! And 38/139 - AWESOME!!!

I love it! But be warned...competitive racing becomes a compulsion. Before you know it she'll be up at 4 a.m. doing bike workouts ;-)

Kate's racing career is my new favorite story line; what's her next event? And 15 for her first triathlon? I give it 2, max. :-)

My sweet Kate was all pink and rosie after the race and she even had energy left for the school carnival! I love her smile when she got her LadyMongoose.
